News; The White House opened people signing petitions website

The White House on Thursday announced its new online petition on the website page "We the People" (http://www.whitehouse.gov/wethepeople), the American people can be initiated in this joint petition.
White House officials said that if a petition to obtain a sufficient number of signatures (5000), and through the Obama administration policy experts and staff audit, the government must respond within 30 days. In the formal response before the announcement, government officials have been asked not to discuss.
Obama said: "I ??promised when running for president, the government should be more open and accountable to the people." Obama said the new initiative will make the American public on their concerns with the White House, "straight line" together. Obama is currently urging people to pressure their congressional representatives to implement employment strategies, balancing the federal budget.
The first online petition was launched in later this month.
